According to the press release, grants between $50 and $500 are available for projects that connect people socially or involve sharing skills and talents. All funded projects must be free to attend, and applications are open to individuals only, not businesses, groups, or organizations.
The press release noted that the program is rooted in the belief that every community member has something to contribute. It was designed to build community strength and resilience, foster creativity and wellbeing, and tackle social isolation.
Residents interested in applying are encouraged to attend a free Information Session on Monday, April 14, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Ferry Building in West Vancouver. Because the space is limited, registration is required. More information and applications are available at westvanfoundation.ca/nsg or neighbourhoodsmallgrants.ca.
