Give Where You Live is an exciting giving campaign by West Vancouver Foundation that empowers you to join others in West Vancouver & the North Shore in supporting a select group of local charities.

A range of partners are selected each year, and this year the over-arching theme is poverty reduction. Some of these charities are providing vital support to those in need, while others provide a hand-up to help break the poverty cycle. Learn more about the needs in our community and donate to support those on the North Shore. Plus, when you donate to this year’s charity partners, through the West Vancouver Foundation by December 31st, your donation will be matched, doubling your giving!

This year’s partners and the programs they are raising funds for are:

Backpack Buddies, youth meal program

Vancouver Food Runners, North Shore surplus food redistribution

Feed the Need, West Vancouver Seniors’ meal program

Athletics for Kids, Sport4Life program

Hollyburn Community Services Society, 5 R’s program for vulnerable youth

Family Services of the North Shore, Christmas Bureau

Red Fox Healthy Living, Active Play programs

BC Pets and Friends, healing comfort

North Shore Restorative Justice, Restorative Response Program

Harvest Project, extending a ‘hand up’

With the Canada Post Strike, please note there are many ways you can help support this year’s Give Where You Live partners. You can visit the online catalogue, drop off a cheque at our office, 775 15th Street, West Vancouver, do an Etransfer at alexandrap@westvanfoundation.ca, Transfer of securities (initiate by Dec 23), and Transfer of mutual funds (initiate by Dec 9).
