Environment Canada has issued another wind warning for North Shore.
This warning was issued today at 7:47 am.
Strong winds over southern sections will start midday through this evening.
Southerly winds 70 km/h with possible gusts to 90 km/h are possible.
There will be broken tree limbs and an increased potential for power outages.
Areas near the water, UBC, Tsawwassen, Boundary Bay, Delta, Ladner, Steveston, and coastal sections of West Vancouver will be affected.
“A strong fall storm approaching the south coast will bring increasing southerly winds to parts of the mainland coast. Winds are expected to peak midday today, and will remain strong through this evening,” says the agency.
Winds will ease late this evening as the storm crosses Vancouver Island and moves inland.
High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
