There were 116 new cases of COVID-19 on North Shore, according to the latest weekly update by British Columbia Centre for Disease Control.
According to the latest data, from September 5 to 11, there were 92 new cases in North Vancouver and 24 cases in West Vancouver.
Last week, from August 29 to Sept. 4, there were 107 cases in the region and 134 in the week before.
According to the province, factoring for age, people not vaccinated are 37.9 times more likely to be hospitalized than those fully vaccinated.
In the past week, from August 31 to September 13, as many as 387 people in BC had to be hospitalized because of COVID.
Of these, 316 (81.7%) had not been vaccinated, 22 (5.7%) were partially vaccinated, while 49 (12.7%) were fully vaccinated.
