The District of West Vancouver has received a preliminary development proposal for an infill townhome development proposal in the Caulfeild area.

The proposal is for a 44unit infill multi-family project at 4450 & 4460 Woodcrest Road and 4504 Woodgreen Drive.

Prior to a formal application to the District, the applicant, Gurpdeep Kainth of Symphony Homes, will be holding an online public information meeting on September 9, 2021, at 6 to 7:30 p.m.

According to the proponents, the proposal is centered on providing much needed “missing middle” housing as identified in West Vancouver’s New Official Community Plan (OCP) through ground-oriented, infill housing.

There will be one three-storey townhome building, three storey townhouse building, a 4-storey stacked townhouse building (featuring 1 level garden units and a 3 level family units) and a two-storey amenity building.

All parking along with storage and bike stalls will be located on site in an underground structure.

“With close access to a major highway and being isolated from neighbouring properties, the site is ideal for middle housing,” says the proponent.

“The townhouses are located in a steep elevation, and therefore, neighboring properties and the community views will see minimal impact,” the developer adds.

Symphony Homes can be contacted at nathan@symphonygroup.ca
