Roadworks will cause traffic impacts in the District of North Vancouver during the week of August 31, with lane reductions and overnight access restrictions planned.

According to the news release by DNV, road reconstruction on the southbound side of Mountain Highway between Oxford Street and Main Street will continue from 7 p.m. on August 31 until 3 p.m. on September 1. One southbound lane will remain open during the work.

Overnight work is also planned at Marine Drive and Capilano Road on August 31, September 1, and September 2, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Access to Marine Drive from Capilano Road will be restricted during those hours. Detours will be in place along Garden Road, with a designated U-turn zone at West 21st Street for local traffic accessing Fullerton Avenue and Curling Avenue.

Drivers are asked to follow directions from traffic control personnel and allow extra travel time. According to the news release, both projects are highly weather-dependent and will likely be postponed if rain is forecast.
