North Vancouver City Library, North Vancouver District Public Library, and West Vancouver Memorial Library have created a new collection to showcase the gifted writers in North Shore.
The North Shore Authors Collection aims to inspire, support, and celebrates the literary talent of North Shore authors by showcasing locally created content in all three North Shore libraries for one year, starting in the fall.
If you are an emerging or established local writer interested in having your book featured, the library is inviting you to apply. Applications are open until June 30.
Any author who currently lives on the North Shore—or resided in the District of West Vancouver, the District of North Vancouver or the City of North Vancouver during the year of publication—is encouraged to apply.
The books must be published between 2010 and 2019, be professionally printed and bound for circulation, all genres for any age group are accepted, content may not contravene Canadian legislation, could be in any language, and legal rights to the work must be held by the author/applicant.
If accepted, authors will be asked to donate three new copies of the book, at no cost, to the North Shore Authors Collection for display at North Vancouver City Library, North Vancouver District Public Library, and West Vancouver Memorial Library.
