North Vancouver RCMP was called to the A&W at 920 Marine Drive in the afternoon after reports that a vehicle—a Subaru—had crashed into the restaurant.
Images from the scene show minimal damage to the vehicle – a Subaru. BC Emergency Health Services say they responded to a report of a car crashing into the building just after noon. “Primary care paramedics in two ambulances and a supervisor provided emergency medical treatment and transported one patient to hospital,” BCEHS Spokesperson Bowen Osoko said.
Police are still investigating, but according to one media report, an employee standing near the fryer was severely burned due to the accident at A&W, though this has yet to be confirmed by North Van RCMP. Police continue to investigate the incident.
