The BC Liberal riding association for North Vancouver – Lonsdale is holding a leadership event Monday January 29th, from 6 to 8:30 at the Polygon Gallery.
The doors will open at 6pm. Each leadership candidate will share their vision in seven minutes and answer one question. Followed by a meet and mingle and closing statements at 8pm.
The North Vancouver – Lonsdale leadership event is about showcasing the leadership candidates for the BC Liberal party that can attend and to learn more about each of their vision for BC and the party, said Antje Wilson, the association president.
Andrew Wilkinson, Mike de Jong, Michael Lee and Sam Sullivan are confirmed to attend. We want to remind our MLA’s, and future BC Liberal leader, that we have important concerns and we, the riding association, want to keep North Vancouver Lonsdale top of mind with the BC Liberal caucus,” Wilson said.
Wilson said each of the campaign teams was contacted bi-weekly since November about the leadership event at the Polygon Gallery on Monday January 29th. Each team was given the option to offer dates they could and couldn’t come.
Todd Stone’s campaign team and Dianne Watt’s campaign team chose not to participate. “We really thought they would change their minds once we let them know who was all coming, but alas they have a different strategy and are campaigning elsewhere,” Wilson said.
