The proponents of the proposal to replace the Lynn Valley pub with a mixed-use residential and commercial development are holding an early information meeting.

The virtual meeting will be held until May 4, and it’s a chance to learn more about the proposal, ask questions, and share thoughts on the proposal.

The meeting will be held online, and comments or questions can be posted here.

The application proposes 98 rental apartments and approximately 12,000 square feet of commercial space in a six-storey building with parking for 108 vehicles in an underground parkade. There will be parking for 74 residents; and 34 shared visitor-retail spaces plus 195 bicycle storage spaces.

According to the proponents, Bosa, the development will provide a variety of unit types and sizes, ranging from one -bedroom units to three -bedroom units, while there will be outdoor seating also available as part of the approximately 11,800 square feet of retail space.

District staff have received the preliminary application and started reviewing it.

Fed up with developers and municipal councils rubbing their hands because of all the taxes they get to collect. Ruining gathering places, causing unemployment, causing traffic overload. Community councils and developers don care how they affect your neighborhood, your home, your life! Its all greed and North Vancouver city and district are full!!
    Go develop Spuzzum!!

We do not have the infrastructure to support the current population on the north shore let alone new developments. Put a moratorium on any future developments until this is resolved.

Excellent idea. I will miss the Bear but look forward to the new stuff that comes with the badly needed housing.
This will bring additional car traffic. What is the vision for expanding transportation capacity off of the shore I wonder – a tunnel from end of my Seymour hwy to Barnett @ #1?
