Camping reservations for some parks in the province are opening today. People can check bcparks.ca/operating-dates to see when specific parks open for reservations.
BC Parks has also re-instated the four-month rolling window. For example, people can book on January 3 to book a May 3 arrival, January 19 to book a May 19 arrival, February 1 to book a June 1 arrival, and so on.
People can also reach out to BC Parks call centre that can help with questions, information and making reservations. The number is 1 800 689-9025 (Canada/US toll free), 1 519 858-6161 (International), 7am–7pm PT daily except December 25 and January 1.
BC Parks will roll out additional improvements and adding additional campgrounds to the reservation system this year. The 4-month booking window does not apply to group sites and picnic shelters. Group site and picnic shelter reservations are remaining on the 12-month booking window.
More campgrounds are being added to the new reservation service for the 2023 season, including Gwillim Lake Park near Chetwynd, Yahk Park near the Kingsgate border crossing and Allison Lake Park near Princeton. All these campgrounds will maintain a balance of reservable and first-come-first-served sites.
