City of North Vancouver plans new greenway north of Highway 1

The new greenway will stretch from Lynn Valley Road to Westview Drive
Staff report
May 3, 2022 4:03pm

The City of North Vancouver is developing a new greenway in the Westview and Tempe neighbourhoods, located north of Highway 1. This new greenway will stretch from Lynn Valley Road to Westview Drive and will be approximately three kilometre long.

The Upper Levels Greenway is being developed as part of the City’s commitment to provide active transportation and recreation options that support and enhance the health and well-being of all community members. In February 2022, CNV engaged the community to understand concerns and identify opportunities for this area.

Since then, CNV has developed three route options based on the priorities shared by residents.

CNV is now seeking feedback on a preferred final route and a conceptual design for the greenway. “We’d like your input on how well each of the route options reflect the priorities and feedback received during the first phase of engagement. Your feedback will be used to help us select a final preferred route for the greenway.”

Resident can answer the online survey before May 20,  at 4 pm, and residents can also ask the staff a question about the Upper Levels Greenway route options or draft vision.

Stop by an in-person event to learn more and provide input:

Saturday, May 7 from 11am – 3pm, CityFest at The Shipyards(External link) (pop-up event)

Tuesday, May 10 from 3pm – 8pm, Larson Elementary(External link) (Open House)

Saturday, May 14 from 11am – 1pm, Grand Boulevard(External link) (pop-up event)

Once the final route has been established, there will be an opportunity to provide additional feedback on the design approach.
