City of North Vancouver is partnering up with a developer for public art work on a development on East 8th and East 11th Street.
Crest Adera Projects Ltd, in cooperation with the City’s public art program, is calling for expressions of interest for a public art project called Public Realm as part of the Crest Development project in North Vancouver.
The proposed artwork artist call ‘PUBLIC REALM’ is open to artists and artist teams in British
Columbia, Alberta, Washington, and Oregon.
After the first express of interest, as many as five short-listed artists will proceed to the second phase and will receive $1,500 each to develop a concept proposal for presentation to the Artist Selection Panel.
It is important that the art work be easily viewed, realized and noticed by pedestrians, cyclists and motorists, for example at the various entry points to the townhomes.
Conceptually the proposed artwork theme ‘PUBLIC REALM’ will highlight the North Shore and the West Coast natural landscapes that complement the architectural and landscape design of the Crest development
If you are interested, you can. contact Sarah Bingham at SarahB@adera.com. The deadline to apply is Monday, May 20, 5 pm. The budget is $56, 360.
