Eligible voters in the City of North Vancouver have until August 18, 2026, to register or update their voter information ahead of the next General Local Election, set for Saturday, October 17, 2026.
According to the news release by the City of North Vancouver, they use the Provincial Voters List maintained by Elections BC, and registering in advance helps ensure voter information is up-to-date, making voting quicker and easier on election day.
Voters who are registering for the first time, or who have recently moved or changed their name, can register or update their information through Elections BC before the August 18 deadline. According to the news release, residents aged 16 or 17 can pre-register for future elections, and those unsure whether they are already registered can resubmit the advance registration form on the Elections BC website.
Voters who miss the advance registration deadline can still register when they vote. To do so, they must show two pieces of identification proving their identity and residential address, with at least one piece including a signature.
According to the news release, voters can cast their ballot at any of nine voting locations across the city on General Voting Day, October 17. Advance voting will be available at City Hall on October 7, 10, 13, 14 and 15. Mail ballot registration will be open from August 31 to October 1, and completed mail ballots must be received by 8:00 p.m. on October 17.
