Watch out for an aggressive owl if you are biking on ‘Don’t Look Back’ trail in Whistler. The owl can attack you and leave you with injuries.

The Conservation Officer Service (COS) is warning hikers and bikers to avoid the trail after the owl attacked a trail runner.

“Please avoid the “Don’t Look Back” trail over the next week and use caution when accessing nearby trails,” COS said.

The mountain biking trail is on the west side of Sproatt Mountain and a short direct connection to ‘Into the Mystic’ trail for riders coming from Function on Flank Trail.

COS received a report about the aggressive owl attacking the runner on Monday. The runner sustained minor injuries in the attack.

Aggressive wildlife can be reported to the BC Conservation Officer Service at 1-877-952-7277.
