A twitter user has posted a video of a cougar checking out Christmas lights at a North Vancouver home.
A cougar caught on camera near friend’s home in North Vancouver, wrote twitter user Karl Harrison.
Harrison didn’t say where in North Vancouver the video was shot.

“There’s around 3,000 of these magnificent big cats in BC and a quarter live on Vancouver Island. Many roam in the Lower Mainland and if you live on the North Shore’s lower mountain slopes then you’ll be neighbours from time to time,” she said in a reply to another twitter’s users question about the location.
Recently, social media users posted warning about cougar sighting at Wembley Place in Lynn Valley.
David Karn of the Ministry of Environment told the North Shore Daily Post the Conservation Officer Service does receive multiple cougar sightings every year in the area.
“Nothing unusual,” he said.
