District of North Vancouver Chief Administrative Officer Mike Fox will host the first of three public information sessions for community members interested in running for Council in this year’s municipal election.

The information session will be held on Wednesday, April 29, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Capilano Library, located at 3045 Highland Blvd. Attendees should meet inside the library entrance.

The sessions are designed to walk prospective candidates through the municipal election process, offering general, non-partisan guidance to anyone considering a run for Council in this fall’s election.

For those who can’t make tomorrow’s session, two more are scheduled in the coming months. A second session will be on May 13 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Lynn Valley Library’s Fireplace Lounge, followed by a third on June 3 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Lions Gate Community Recreation Centre’s Community Living Room.
