North Vancouver breweries have created a new limited edition collaboration brew for Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week, which runs from October 4 to 11.
Eight local brewers—Beere Brewing, Black Kettle Brewing, Bridge Brewing, Deep Cove Brewers & Distillers, Hearthstone Brewery, House of Funk Brewing, Streetcar Brewing, and Wildeye Brewing—have created the Pilsner, a craft beer that will be officially unveiled at a launch party on Friday, October 4, 5 pm, at The Pipe Shop in Lower Lonsdale.
“Brewed exclusively for the craft beer week, this Pilsner features Moutere and Motueka hops from New Zealand, which add subtle notes of fresh citrus zest and tropical fruit,” according to a social media post by Deep Cove Brewers + Distillers.
The launch party for the craft beer week promises to be an ‘epic’ evening of food trucks and live music from Musos Entertainment. The after-party will continue a few blocks away with the Tap & Barrel Shipyard’s selection of local beers.
Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Week, which returns for its third year, is “inviting all hop heads to come toast the North Shore’s legendary past in brewing and our bright future with a week of celebrations at our local breweries.”
Besides the eight breweries, craft beer lovers can also enjoy beer samples from the Green Leaf Brewing and North Point Brewing, try special casks, attend fun events and learn more about the North Shore beers at local breweries in that week.
Beer lovers can download the BC Ale Trail App to explore beer events, collect points and enter to win a prize package.
Organisers are also looking for volunteers who will help with event set-up, welcome guests and assist breweries. Those interested can email inquiries@vancouvernorthshore.com with the subject line “VNSCBW-Volunteer” to find out more.
