Extra shelter spaces available at North Shore Neighbourhood House

Extra shelter space is now available at North Shore Neighbourhood House and the Lookout Shelter.

As many as 12 spaces are available at the North Shore Neighborhood House, located at 225, 2nd Street East in the City of North Vancouver.

The access is from the back door. The sleeping mats are available from 8 pm to 7 am in the morning.

“If you know someone who needs a safe place to stay, please let them know,” NSNH says.

“If you are sleeping outside, please come to the safety of the North Shore Neighbourhood House.”

Environment Canada has issued a new Arctic outflow warning for North Shore, Vancouver, and other Metro Vancouver communities.

The warning was issued at 5 am today.

Beginning tonight, frigid temperatures and stronger outflow winds can be expected. Wind chill values will range from minus 15 to minus 25 tonight.
