The Shipyards will host the second annual Festivibe on Saturday, Sept. 19, bringing a full day of music, food, cultural performances, and family activities to the waterfront.

The festival will run from noon to 10 p.m., with performances and activities spread across The Shipyards. According to the news release by Kids Life Foundation, the event will feature dozens of performers, artisans, food vendors, businesses, cultural groups and community organizations.

The main stage will feature traditional, modern and contemporary music, dance and live performances representing cultures and communities from across Metro Vancouver. General admission is free, while Kids Village is ticketed, with proceeds supporting Kids Life Foundation.

From noon to 7 p.m., the Pipe Shop will host an artisan market and cultural demonstrations, including heritage arts and crafts, live body painting and meditation. Visitors can also meet artists and makers and learn about the traditions behind their work.

Food vendors will offer flavours inspired by different backgrounds and communities. Local and corporate businesses, community organizations and cultural groups will also provide interactive activities, products and services, with giveaways and prizes planned throughout the day, according to the news release.

A dedicated Kids Village, curated by Kids Life Foundation, will run from noon to 7 p.m. and feature performances, music, singing and confidence-building workshops, K-pop, storytelling, creative arts, pottery and sculpture, chess and hands-on activities.

The village will also include a toddler play area, sports and movement activities, and a Bike Rodeo focused on cycling skills and road safety with community safety partners.

Young entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to showcase and sell products they have created, alongside children’s clothing and other family-focused businesses and experiences.

“Festivibe is about giving people the opportunity to experience culture rather than simply watch it,” said Amal Jarmakani, director of Vibehouse and president of Kids Life Foundation.

According to the news release, Festivibe debuted at The Shipyards in 2025 and is returning with an expanded program. The festival is also participating in BC Culture Days 2026.
