Former Dundarave care centre could potentially see housing development

The West Vancouver Care Centre that closed earlier this year in Dundarave could potentially be replaced by a housing development.

The care centre at 1675, 27th Street, was closed down and the owners are at an early stage of determining what the future of the property may look like.

The site is 800 metres from Dundarave Village.

The 27th Streets Lands project team, comprising Mayfair Properties, Chelsea Properties and Pooni Group, is seeking the public’s opinion on the property.

“The team is in the early stages of exploring the future of the property. Community input will be a key consideration for us to explore options,” the team said.

Between October 28 and November 6, the proponents also have information panels posted on the property for visitors to view.

On November 6, from 10:30 am to 12 pm, the team will also be on site to answer questions.

The team is also seeking community’s input and has launched a survey which can be answered until November 7.
