Marcelina Perdido Agulay was killed in a head-on collision on Tuesday night.
STAFF REPORT
March 4, 2021 10:15am

The friends of the woman killed in the late night crash on Tuesday night in North Vancouver have set up a GoFundMe page for her.

Marcelina Perdido Agulay was killed in an accident on Low Level Road, when her car was struck by a west-bound vehicle.

“It’s with a broken heart that we have to announce the sudden passing of our Marcelina (Lina) Perdido Agulay. Our beloved Auntie Lina was taken too early from us on March 2nd, 2021 when a drunk driver collided head-on with her and her husband, Leonilo, after picking him up from work,” write the organisers.

“Nilo was sent to the hospital and is receiving care for life-threatening injuries. However, Lina did not make it. We are all in shock and in utter disbelief,” they write.

“She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a teacher, and a devoted community member. And will be missed so dearly. Lina leaves behind a family who will miss her so dearly including a son and two grandchildren.”

Funds will go directly to the family to assist them with hospital and postmortem expenses/bills, groceries, whatever it takes to get them back on their feet after this unexpected tragedy.

This Gofundme page was set up by close family members who due to Covid-19 restrictions cannot be there physically for our family but are doing the best we can to support.
