Grouse Mountain will require guests to be fully vaccinated

Staff report
October 18, 2021 10:01am

Grouse Mountain is requiring all guests to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the 2021/22 winter season.

Starting on opening day of the ski and snowboard season, guests born in 2009 or earlier must provide proof of vaccination to access the Resort, including the Skyride, mountaintop facilities and activities.

All Grouse Mountain employees are also required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for the winter season.

“We believe implementing this policy over the winter season will provide the strongest protection against COVID-19 to those who visit and work at the Mountain,” said Michael Cameron, President of Grouse Mountain Resort.

Grouse Mountain is also introducing the VaxTrax Program, a one-time vaccine verification process for all pass holders.

The program allows verified pass holders and multi-day Snow School participants access to the Resort without having to provide proof of vaccination each visit.

These guests can choose to submit a copy of their BC Vaccine Card and a copy of valid government photo ID (for guests aged 19 or older) digitally or visit Guest Services at Grouse Mountain to present the required documentation in-person before November 15, 2021.

After the November 15 deadline, pass holders and multi-day Snow School participants will be required to show proof of vaccination on-site during their first visit.

Individual ticketholders, such as those with Single-Day Lift or Mountain Admission tickets, will be required to show proof of vaccination during each visit to the Resort before boarding the Skyride.
