Residents of North Shore should prepare for a damp start to the week after Environment Canada issued a rainfall warning for North Vancouver and West Vancouver on Monday.
Heavy rain is expected, with approximately 50 millimetres of precipitation anticipated. The warning was issued after a moist Pacific frontal system moved through the region, bringing heavy rain. The downpour is expected to last throughout the day before tapering off late evening.
Be mindful of possible washouts near rivers, creeks, and culverts. While Vancouver will not experience as much rainfall as North and West Vancouver, up to 20 millimetres of rain is expected to fall in the city, making it a wet day for residents. Temperatures will remain mild, with highs of 9 C and lows of 7 C anticipated.
