Vancouver police are investigating a commercial break-and-enter after thieves stole high-value Pokémon cards from a collectibles store along Dunbar Street early Monday morning.
According to the news release by the VPD, Vancouver Police Department officers responded to reports of a break-in at the Royal Card Shop and Collectibles, located at 4355 Dunbar Street, at 2:58 a.m. on August 3.
Investigators found that two masked suspects pried open the rear door of the business and used a stolen Ford pickup truck to rope and pull out the safe, according to the news release.
The stolen vehicle was recovered in Surrey later that morning, found abandoned and still running. It was later transported to the VPD property garage for forensic analysis. According to the news release, investigators describe both suspects as white men wearing all-black clothing.
