Officers said they pulled the driver over on the night of November 9 after noticing the vehicle had no insurance. The driver had planned to go into the bar, but that changed when they failed a roadside test, police said in the post.
The driver was issued a ticket for driving without insurance, turning what was meant to be a casual night out into what RCMP called “a very expensive one.”
In the post, the North Vancouver RCMP noted that it’s not often they see drivers pull up to a bar already impaired. Police reminded the public that driving without insurance or while impaired can lead to severe financial and legal consequences.
