A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of an impaired driver and the seizure of drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to the social media post of North Vancouver RCMP.

Officers initiated the traffic stop and began an impaired-driving investigation, during which they observed drugs and drug paraphernalia in plain view, according to the post. The driver was arrested after failing a Standard Field Sobriety Test (SFST), issued a driving prohibition, and had their vehicle impounded. Additional drugs were seized as part of the investigation.

According to the post, the driver’s phone rang repeatedly during the stop with callers seeking to place orders. The phone and other evidence were seized as investigators continue to advance the case.
