Chin Kim and Junwhee Lim decided to dine on something a little fancier than turkey this Thanksgiving weekend after recently winning $500,000 playing Chrome, a BCLC Scratch & Win game.

“We are going to have a special dinner,” Kim said. “I think I would like lobster.”

The North Vancouverites picked up their ticket at Ridgemont Foods in Coquitlam and were at home when they scratched it and realized they’d won the game’s top prize. Kim said after their first class seafood meal, the next stop will be a car dealership for a new ride.

“We are looking to get an SUV, but we have not decided what kind yet,” said Lim.

The two have one other dream they’re hoping to make come true, thanks to their unexpected win.

“The dream that we would like to make a reality would be to buy our own home,” Kim said. “We would like a townhouse.”

“(It’s) unbelievable,” Lim added.
