District of North Vancouver has closed Mount Fromme and Lynn Canyon Park parking lots due to people not heeding the social distancing guidelines.
DNV has also closed skateboard and skatebowl parks, including Kirkstone, William Griffin, and Seylynn.
The ban came into place today at 7 am.
“District of North Vancouver made the decision to close these areas as crowds of visitors continue to visit these locations, despite the social distancing instructions shared by Provincial health authorities,” according to an update from the district.
On Saturday, District of North Vancouver also closed Quarry Rock and Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge until further notice.
To continue protecting the health and safety of residents and staff, the district has also closed its municipal hall, as well as playgrounds in district parks.
