Lynn Valley Lions Club has announced that Lynn Valley Days is back after a two-year hiatus.

The club said 2020 would have been the 50th Anniversary of the Lynn Valley Lions Clubs but the parade could not be held because of COVID-19.

“As a community, we have missed many annual traditions through these changing times but we are proud to announce that Lynn Valley Days is back for 2022,” the club said.

Eric Miura, the club president, said the Lynn Valley Days is also an occasion to celebrate the club’s 50 years. We are celebrating 50 years of community and are very proud to be part of our community,” he said. “This has been an event that the community has welcomed since 1912. It’s a weekend for families, friends and neighbors to come together and celebrate. This is a tradition that the Lynn Valley Lions Club has been proud to continue.”

The parade and fair will be on July 16 and the gala is tomorrow, July 15. The gala will be held in Lynn Valley Park at 3590 Mountain Highway in North Vancouver. The parade begins at approximately 9:30 am following a pancake breakfast at the Lynn Valley park at 7:30 am.

There will be a few changes but the tradition and spirit will remain the same, Eric says. “It’s time to celebrate 50 years as a club , our love for community as well as the return of Lynn Valley Days and the Annual Gala.”
