A 24-year-old man is facing a break-and-enter charge after suspicious activity was reported at a Chinatown bakery Thursday morning.
According to the news release issued by VPD, a neighbour across the street contacted police after noticing a man on the roof of the business.
When officers arrived, they observed the man attempting to flee while carrying an item believed to have been taken from the bakery, according to the news release.
The man was arrested and transported to jail. According to the news release, he was later released on an undertaking by the courts.
