Crown Counsel has approved one count of break and enter against a man arrested by Vancouver Police after a break-in at a Chinatown business.
According to the news release by VPD, Vancouver Police responded just after 7 a.m. to a report of a broken window at a business near Georgia Street and Gore Avenue, after an employee reported seeing a man smash the window and enter the premises.
Officers searched the building and, after reviewing video footage, believed the man was still inside. A witness then reported seeing a man matching the suspect’s description on a second-storey fire escape, and officers located and arrested him without incident. According to the news release, Raymond Chan, 28, has been charged with one count of break-and-enter.
