Masonic Hall arson: Criminal charges laid against Benjamin Kohlman

Staff report
April 6, 2021 5:12pm

Crown counsel has approved five more criminal charges against a man accused of setting fire to three Masonic Halls in Vancouver and North Vancouver.

Benjamin Kohlman, 42, was charged Tuesday with two counts of arson and three counts of break-and-enter to commit arson.

The charges are in addition to one count of arson, one count of assaulting a police officer, and one count of failure to stop for police, which were laid last week.

Kohlman was arrested March 30 by VPD after two Masonic Halls in North Vancouver and one Masonic Hall in Vancouver were allegedly set on fire.
