Vancouver Police have arrested a suspect in Burnaby in relation to a series of arsons in North Vancouver and Vancouver.
Investigative efforts led VPD to Burnaby, where a 42-year-old man was arrested near North Fraser Way and Marine Way.
Officers were able to swiftly arrest the alleged suspect. Arson charges will be recommended to Crown counsel.
“This investigation unfolded very quickly,” said Sgt. Peter DeVries of the North Vancouver RCMP.
“We have a very good working relationship with our partners at Vancouver Police. By sharing information and coordinating our efforts we were able to move swiftly as new information became available.”
“This was a joint collaboration with Vancouver Police and our partners at the North Vancouver RCMP,” says VPD Constable Tania Visintin.
