UPDATE: A missing child in North Vancouver has been found safe.
“We are relieved and thankful to report that the child earlier reported missing has been located safe and unharmed,” North Van RCMP said.

North Vancouver RCMP is searching for a child missing in North Vancouver.
The 11-year-old child, Leonardo Escat, was last seen leaving home at 9:10 am this morning.
He is described as a non-white male child, 4’8″ tall, wearing grey pants, a dark sweater, and is carrying a blue Herschel backpack with a Mickey Mouse logo.
Leonardo was last seen at 9:10 am, leaving his home in the 1100 block of Beaufort Rd., north of Mt. Seymour Parkway and west of Parkgate Village, to walk to Dorothy Lynas school.
Please call 9-1-1 immediately if you see him.
