A 74-year-old man who went missing from his North Vancouver home earlier this week has been found dead, RCMP say.

Moise Teichman was reported missing on April 21 after last being seen two days earlier at his residence on the 1300 block of Oakwood Crescent. His death is not considered suspicious, according to police.

“The RCMP offers its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” the detachment said in a statement.

Teichman was last seen around 2:30 p.m. on April 19. Police and family had raised concerns about his health and well-being, prompting a public appeal for information the following day.

At the time of his disappearance, he was described as five-foot-eleven with a medium build, balding with grey hair and a full moustache. He was wearing a grey ball cap, grey shoes, a navy raincoat and grey pants with distinctive green and pink patches on the back.
