A driver was ticketed for committing several traffic offences on Highway 99. On March 28, the British Columbia Highway Patrol was conducting safety enforcement on the highway when they noticed a speeding vehicle.
The laser used by the officers found the vehicle was travelling at 133 km per hour in an 80 km zone. The driver was also not displaying the ‘N’ on the vehicle.
The driver was ticketed for several offences and the vehicle was towed.
On March 28, officers were also conducting impaired driving enforcement when they stopped a driver for a sobriety check. Officers noticed the driver had a strong smell of liquor and administered a breath test which the driver failed.
The vehicle was impounded and the driver was issued a 90-day driving prohibition.
