Metro Vancouver will soon be constructing the new Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve (LSCR) multi-purpose watershed centre on this site.
This building will provide an office space for Metro Vancouver staff as well as a classroom to be used for the Watershed Education and Stewardship Programs. The building and its surrounding area will provide the following amenities or features: Educational interpretive features about the region’s drinking water supply system, classrooms for education programs, bike racks, seating areas and a drinking fountain as well as new landscaping and trail around the building.
The construction is expected to be complete by Spring 2023, and hours of work will be Monday to Friday, between 7 am and 6 pm.
All work will comply with the District of North Vancouver bylaws or granted bylaw variances. Trail Access and Parking Access to Twin Bridges Trail and adjacent trail networks will be maintained for the duration of construction.
The main parking lot at Rice Lake Gate will remain open during construction; however, the overflow gravel parking lot will be closed. Please find alternate overflow parking in designated parking areas along Lillooet Road
