The North Shore Kids Festival will return to The Shipyards in North Vancouver on Sunday, Sept. 13, offering a free day of activities focused on children’s curiosity, creativity and exploration.

According to the news release by the festival founder, the third annual festival will run from noon to 6 p.m. and is expected to welcome thousands of children and families for hands-on activities, live entertainment and community connections.

The festival will feature sports, science, creative arts, entrepreneurship, performances and interactive activities, with children encouraged to try new activities and explore their interests.

According to the news release, the Young Entrepreneurs Market will also return after its launch in 2025. Young makers and business owners will have the opportunity to present and sell products they have created themselves at the Pipe Shop. Participation is free and is intended to give children experience in creativity, communication, confidence, money management and customer service.

Families can also take part in children’s performances, sports demonstrations, creative workshops and activities hosted by community organizations and local instructors. A dedicated Quiet Zone will provide a calmer space for children who need a break from the festival’s activities.

The festival was created by Wonder Wonders Foundation founders Anna Boltenko and Anna Sharonova. The event is supported by local partners, sponsors, volunteers, performers, instructors, and community organizations. More information and festival updates are available at www.bestkidsfest.com and on Instagram at @bestkidsfest.
