North Vancouver RCMP are warning dog owners to watch out after receiving a report of what appeared to be purposefully placed dog treats next to small pieces of glass in the Mosquito Creek trails near Glen Canyon Dr.
North Vancouver RCMP received the report on February 7 after a dog found the treats and the owner noticed glass placed next to them along a hollowed out tree stump.
“Thankfully, the dog that found the treats did not eat the glass and was unharmed,” said Cst. Kelly McIntyre of the North Vancouver RCMP.
“Please continue to be vigilant when out with your dogs on the trails and report anything suspicious as soon as possible.” Anyone who has any information about this matter is asked to call the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311.
