Sidney North Saanich RCMP are looking for a North Vancouver man wanted for bank robbery in Sidney.
Police are able to confirm that Lucas Darryl Bradwell robbed a TD Canada bank on Beacon Avenue in Sidney on Tuesday, July 9.
Two days later, charges were forwarded to the BC prosecution service, and on July 13, police issued a warrant for Bradwell.
Police were quickly able to identify the suspect due to contributions of multiple police agencies and tips from community members.
Bradwell is still believed to be on Vancouver Island, and people are encouraged to call 911 if they see him.
Anyone with knowledge of Bradwell is also encouraged to call the Sidney North Saanich RCMP at (250)656-3931.
“This is another example of how offenders from outside our communities will still be held accountable for offences committed within our jurisdiction,” said Cpl. Kevin Shaw, of the Sidney North Saanich GIS.
“We were grateful for the assistance provided by the Victoria, Vancouver and Abbotsford Police Departments and the Oceanside RCMP,” Shaw added.
