Vancouver Police is asking the public’s help in identifying the suspect in an attempted robbery last month.
Police release released surveillance photos in the hopes of identifying the suspect. The robbery happened on October 21 just before 6 p.m.
A man entered the 888 Mini Market near Beach Avenue and Hornby Street and attempted to rob the store. After assaulting the clerk, a 61-year-old Vancouver man, the suspect fled westbound on Beach Avenue.
The suspect is white with a slim build, and is believed to be in his mid-thirties.
He was wearing a black baseball hat with a white logo on it, a black sweatshirt, and black and grey plaid pajama pants.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has any information on the incident is asked to call investigators with the VPD’s Major Crime at 604-717-2541 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
