Presentation House Theatre is marking its 50th anniversary with a new season that includes a world-premiere holiday show and a full slate of family and adult programming.
The North Shore professional theatre company has announced its 2026-2027 season, anchored by what artistic director Keltie Forsyth describes as a new annual tradition — a homegrown holiday production aimed at bringing North Shore families to the theatre each winter. The inaugural offering will be an adaptation of The Sword in the Stone, running December 11 through January 3.

“It’s the beginning of what I hope will become a North Shore holiday tradition,” Forsyth said, “a time of year when people come together at the theatre to laugh, relax and share a night of holiday joy.”
According to a media release, the 2026-2027 Family Series opens in October with the Yupi! Latin American Arts Family Festival, a celebration of Latin American culture produced by Neworld Theatre, followed by Water Words, described as a dreamlike exploration of friendship between children in Canada and Senegal. The series closes with a return of the company’s production of Where the Wild Things Are, running February 26 through March 12.
The 4th Street Series for adult audiences opens September 24 with Dial 1 for UK, an Edinburgh Fringe hit by Mohit Mathur about a family’s journey from New Delhi to London. Ruby Slippers Theatre returns for a fourth collaboration with Bella Luz, a world premiere written by Alexandra Lainfiesta described as a parody about the Canadian immigrant experience. The season closes with Michel(le) by Joey Lespérence, a Pi Theatre production about family and memory, running April 1 through 4.
According to the media release, Forsyth says the 50th season is built around two values: joy and empathy. “More than anything, I want audiences this season to leave the theatre absolutely giddy.”
