The District of West Vancouver has announced a public hearing for a proposed new restaurant and townhome project at the Salmon House site, 2221-2229 Folkestone Way.
The development application will allow for an 8-unit, 3-storey townhome development and a new commercial building for restaurants and offices. The public hearing will be held on January 22 at 7 pm at the municipal hall council chamber.
The current restaurant and corporate space on Folkestone Way hasn’t seen an update in many decades, and the owners wish to change that with this new proposal. The developer, Toseki Entertainment, has owned and operated The Salmon House for over 35 years and has decades of experience in the industry locally and abroad, the development website says.
The style of the buildings will be West Coast Modern. “The entire site, including the townhomes and restaurant, will be owned by us and will be available for rent when completed,” the developer said. “There will be minimal view changes, the space will continue to provide ample parking, and there will be no change to the road face. This development will be an asset to the community and blend into the current Folkestone environment.”
