The District of North Vancouver invites the community to a public information meeting about a proposed affordable rental housing project on Lillooet Road. This District-owned site is currently vacant. It is approximately 2.4 acres (9,900m2) in size, and is located at the southwest corner of Old Lillooet Road and Lillooet Road.
The Lillooet Road Affordable Housing Project will provide 188 rental units across two six-storey buildings. The development is part of a partnership between the District, More Than a Roof Housing Society, and BC Housing, with rental rates aligned to BC Housing’s Community Housing Fund.
The project aims to address the region’s growing need for affordable housing by offering a mix of unit types for different household sizes and ages, including two-, three-, and four-bedroom family units. A central courtyard will separate the two buildings, and an underground parkade will provide 107 parking spaces, including nine visitor stalls and an at-grade drop-off zone. The project also includes 331 long-term bicycle parking spaces.
Community members can learn more and provide feedback at an in-person public meeting on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, North Shore Ballroom, 700 Old Lillooet Road, North Vancouver. A virtual public meeting will also run from March 10 to April 4 at DNV.org/public-meeting. For more details and project designs, visit DNV.org/lillooet-road-housing.
