RCMP looking for skier in incident that left youth injured on Grouse Mountain

April 12, 2019 2:45pm

The North Vancouver RCMP and Grouse Mountain are working together to identify a skier involved in an incident that left one young man injured.

On March 30, 2019 just before 7 pm, Police say an incident occurred between two skiers on Grouse Mountain on the ski run, The Cut.

One of the skiers, who was a youth, sustained a head injury that was initially thought to be minor, but turned out to be serious enough to require hospitalization.

The youth is currently recovering at home. Police are asking the second person to come forward.

Anyone with video footage from The Cut between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm on March 30 is asked to contact police.

Police would also like to speak with any eyewitnesses or anyone with information about the incident. To assist in remembering the incident, the youth was wearing:

  • white Adidas brand hooded sweatshirt
  • dark blue toque
  • tan colored pants

If you have information about this incident or have video from that time, please contact Cst. Yushi Ebisawa at the North Vancouver RCMP Detachment at 604-969-7345, or by email at yushi.ebisawa@rcmp-grc-gc.ca
