Staff report
July 12, 2019 11:15am

A large number of people had planned to visit water-slide event in Lonsdale area on Saturday, July 13, but the event was cancelled. If you wanted to go there and now have no plans for Saturday, you can still go to Lonsdale and have some fun at a party that offers snacks, music and a chat about growing things in the beautiful public park of Lower Lonsdale Community Gardens.

Lower Lonsdale Community Gardens, with the support of North Shore Neighbourhood House and The United Way, presents the annual Lower Lonsdale Community Garden Midsummer Party, on Saturday, July 13, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

This year’s party features musical stylings of North Vancouver’s Nick Fai, a talk about gardening from our North Shore Neighbourhood House partners, The Edible Garden Project, as well as snacks — all free for everyone.

Lower Lonsdale Community Gardens acknowledges the ongoing support of City of North Vancouver, North Shore Neighbourhood House and especially the United Way’s Lower Lonsdale Local Love Fund, which provided funding for this year’s party.

For more information, call Michael Charrois (Shar-wa) at 778-866-5160.
