A Snowfall warning is in effect for Metro Vancouver, including the North Shore, West Vancouver, and North Vancouver, with total snowfall amounts expected to reach between 10 to 20 centimetres by Monday morning.
The storm is set to bring a mix of winter weather conditions across the South Coast of B.C. starting tonight and continuing through Monday morning.
Heavy snowfall starts tonight and into Sunday morning, with snowfall accumulations varying across the region. Higher areas will get more, but heavy flurries can also be expected in lower-lying areas. It’s expected to taper off to wet flurries or showers by Sunday afternoon, but another round of heavy snow may develop Sunday night into Monday morning.
Drivers and pedestrians are urged to exercise caution as highways, roads, sidewalks, and parking lots could become treacherous due to accumulating snow. Visibility may be suddenly reduced in heavy flurries, creating hazardous travel conditions. Residents are encouraged to monitor forecasts and alerts from Environment Canada and prepare for rapidly changing weather conditions.
