A structure fire on East Osborne Road near Lonsdale Avenue early Sunday morning destroyed one building and damaged a neighbouring structure, according to the District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services (DNVFRS).
The fire caused a power outage in parts of Upper Lonsdale, with Hydro crews working to restore service, according to the news release by DNV. Residents in the area may notice cloudy water due to firefighting efforts. The District said the water is safe to drink and will return to clear.
Crews from the City of North Vancouver Fire Department and West Vancouver Fire & Rescue Services assisted with the response. Residents are asked to avoid the area while crews continue their work.
