Metro Vancouver has closed two regional parks due to hazardous conditions on all trails. Trails in the Grouse Mountain and Lynn Headwater Regional Park are now closed to the public.
The Grouse Grind, the BCMC and the Baden-Powell in the Grouse Mountain Regional Park have been closed.
“Please stay out of the park for your safety, that of park staff and of first responders,” says Metro Vancouver.
The Skyride operated by Grouse Mountain Resort is also due to inclement weather.
“Recent rainfall has led to hazardous conditions throughout the park. Effective immediately all trails in all areas of the park are closed,” Metro Vancouver says.
Recent heavy rain has also increased the height and flow in Lynn Creek, creating dangerous conditions.
Stay well back from the edge of fast moving water and potentially unstable creeksides, Metro Vancouver warns.
